Convicted on bogus charges; two-year suspended sentence; released
On 5 January 2026, the Tunis First Instance Criminal Court convicted Bousselmi alongside co-defendants Sherifa Riahi and Mohamed Joô on charges of "sheltering individuals entering or leaving the Tunisian territory illegally" and "knowingly helping or attempting to facilitate the entry, exit, movement or irregular stay of a foreigner in Tunisia."
